Wat Rong Khun, known as the White Temple, is located 13 km from the center of Chiang Rai. This modern Buddhist temple was designed and built by artist Chalemchai Kositpipat and opened to visitors in 1997. The temple impresses with its unique architecture, white color and many mirror elements symbolizing purity and spiritual enlightenment.
Inside the temple, you can see impressive paintings and sculptures that reflect Buddhist teachings and modern culture. The best time to visit is in the morning or evening, when the light highlights the beauty of the temple. You can get to Wat Rong Khun by taxi or bus from Chiang Rai.
