I would like to take iconic Disney princesses, but influenced by modern consumer culture, while maintaining their original appearance. For example, for Cinderella, she could hold a luxury handbag, with those iconic glass shoes transformed into a high-end fashion item. Snow White could hold a basket of Apple products (iPhone, iPad, etc.). The apple, which symbolizes innocence in her story, could be reinterpreted as a marketing tool, showing a more commercial side. For Belle, she could hold a Starbucks coffee cup, making her look like a modern influence. Those arms could be filled with bags from popular bookstores: Indigo, Renaud-Bray, Barnes and Noble, Amazon, etc. For Rapunzel, she could be shown as a beauty influencer; she could be the face of a major luxury shampoo and conditioner ad. She could be shown in a before/after transformation (as some beauty ads do). I would like to realize this concept on about 4 or 5 princes. Eventually, I would like to do everything on a normal-sized white page with watercolor paint to accentuate the nostalgia/childhood feel. The princesses would be together in the center with some minor details in the background.
